Blocking is possibly the most rewarding of all the millinery practices. But is also the most tedious. You need patience for the process and you need to be confident in your sewing abilities. But it is a wonderful technique and so satisfying to do. Slow and steady always wins the race. 

In this course you will learn how to block to perfection, and how to finish the inside of your piece using gimp braid or petersham. This course does not cover trimming your shape, if you take the Free form Felt and the Structured Felt courses you will already have learnt all these skills.

• A Wool Felt Cone
• A Block, and blocking pins.
• Needle and Thread
• A scissors
• An steam iron
• A kettle
• Felt Stiffener
• Cotton Covered Millinery Wire
• Elastic 
• Petersham ribbon or Gimp Braid
