Blocking is possibly the most rewarding of all the sinamay practices. But is also the most tedious. You need patience for the process and you need to be confident in your sewing sinamay abilities. But it is a wonderful technique and so satisfying to do. Slow and steady always wins the race.Ā
In this course you will learn how to block to perfection, and how to finish the inside of your piece. This course does not cover trimming your shape, if you take theĀ Introduction to Sinamay and the Freeform Sinamay course you will already have learnt all these skills. The Flat Pattern Sinamay course will also be hugely beneficial to you before you take this blocking course.
